ABOUT US
St. Andrew's College Oyo has been described as the pacesetter in Education. This is very apt, taking into consideration the pioneering role of the forerunner Institution (The St Andrew's College) in tertiary education in the country.
The St. Andrew's College succeded the CMS Training Institution, established at Ikija, Abeokuta in 1853. In 1867, the training Institution was moved to Lagos and later Oyo on 18 March, 1896. St. Andrew's College, Oyo which was devoted to the training of grade two teachers pioneered tertiary education in Nigeria between 1896 when it started in Oyo and 1948 when the University College of Ibadan was founded.
St. Andrew's College through its products bestride the educational landscape of Nigeria like a colossus.
